What Keith is saying about determining whether or not you want to work with a particular prospect is a valid point when prospecting. But the first step and main point of every cold call is getting the appoinment…Prequalifying effectively only happens when you meet them face to face. Tyring to determine that over the phone can be more difficult because prospects tend to be more standoffish on the phone.
I believe that prequalifying is a secondary step not the primary…

Before u get permission from someone to give u their time u have to get their interest first.
