What a cheezy and stupid video. I had 2 celebrity’s- the 4 cyl AND the v6 Eurosport- They were still new cars at the time AND they BOTH SUCKED!!!!

The funny thing? The ‘76 Fury was more reliable, more dependable, oh, and by the way, worth well more than what the craptacular ‘89 Celebrity is today – provided that it’s been cared for.

Nice color on the first Celebrity… I think the best one possible for the car. The light blue looked just great when it was bright sunshine out.
Solid cars though, felt big but is small compared to “midsize” models today.
Where are the nameplates on the trunklid though?

i would off gotten the 929 lmfao theres nothing celebert bout the celeberty lol

Celebrity is a fleet car. Taurus way better back then. BMW perhaps. Rented a Euro sport once, nothing Euro or sport about it. Crap, and I like Chevys, or used too. GM in 1989 was well on the highway to bankruptcy, just took 20 years to use up all their reserves.

I’ll take the ‘76 Fury any day.

The Buick, or even the Oldsmobile version would have been a much better fit for this kind of video. A Chevrolet is not exactly what I think of when I think “country club”.

Akward commercial…but a really dependable car…been in family since 89′ needs only a paint job.

Forgot to mention that while I find the vid apalling, I still love that old celebrity..but sporty? An underpowered fishing boat was more sporty!

Good God! My first car was one of these, handed down. It had a 5spd manual and the v6…but this video..it’s terrible!!! Sadly I can’t say it’s the worst sales video I’ve seen, kinda makes it simple to see why companies start suffering with sales when they have a culture that permits this.
…oh and I have a Mazda now :)

My grandfather had one of these in his field in the late 80’s. It looked like it was abandoned for only 30 years. But it was only abandoned for not even 4-5 years max. Good jorb General lol.

Quote of the week:
“You can’t do better than a Celebrity!” – two douche bags.

I wonder if the blond was a stripped down model.
yawn….If they really wanted to sell them they should have been tearing up that golf course with the celebrity. I had a 86 eurosport wagon and it could take a beating.

We used to have one that was a former Heinz ketchup car.
