I definatly prefer the LTD Crown Victoria of the same year, but if you call this car bad or ugly you should be locked up. These cars are fine as hell.

@Ian74263 hard to compare this to a camry. Think more relatively

LOL! Good ol’ K Cars, why would you diss them? Also, Jesus Christ 25 gallons! (94.6360 liters)… Where I live that would be $101.73 to fill up the tank! Good thing we got a Camry.

Nice cars….BAD seatbelt arrangement.

I love that color….

Not entirely true, the platform that the Caprice was based on was the samw as the Impala and the Bel-Air, the latter of which was around far before the LTD. The space would have been the same in the Caprice as the Impala and Bel-Air

@DamnStraightM35A2 unfortunately that GM doesn’t invest Buick or Pontiac in our region since 90’s.

@at1212b we have the new Chevy caprice since 2000 after the discontinuation that happened in 1996. it’s not like the 90’s and the 80’s caprice that we know.
they are made of plastic and they don’t have the quality like before but there is two things that Make it better than Crown vic and the new Turas.
First: the luxury that it has
second: the power, since 2000 Chevy caprice is an icon of power in Middle East specially in Saudi Arabia

@hextor300g If you compare it to anything to its day, it was a beast. Still is. He doesn’t mention the 300 lb/ft of torque (at least he mentions the 5000 ft towing capacity).

@MOMOEDI Memories… mine was a 89, which I ‘re-bought’ after all the memories.
With the police caprice SS coming back, that dream may soon be a reality!

Niceee! The only problem with the 90 is the weird seatbelt location.

“And if your buyer still isn’t convinced, call him a woman or a little girl, and dare him to punch the Caprices powerful hood…”
about 1 year ago
funny when the caprice came out in 1977 it was viewed as the small downsized car. 13 years later it was seen as one of two RWD, body on frame, “big” cars.
First of the small, last of the big.

@ntxguy Yeah, either that or it’s “sittin’ on chrome 26″ dubs with lime green paint and 16″ subwoofers” as all the craigslist ads say. Shame.
If I got a hold of a ghetto’d-out one, I’d sell the rims, sand it, repaint it, and restore it to its true original glory.

“Legendary boulevard ride…” Such beautiful words.

@wilkes85 competition creates better product.

Don’t worry, the Caprice was originally a ripoff of the LTD [the Crown Victoria predecessor].
In the mid ’60s, Ford released the LTD; an upmarket version of the Galaxie 500, so to compete, GM released the Caprice, an upmarket version of the Impala.

It is so cool to see this car brand new and pretty stunning in this video…You see these around today and its just an old faded boat (maybe some exceptions) in any event this was a very solid vehicle!
